Researchers from the University of Central Florida managed to find advanced battery technologies. Supercapacitor they found could be used to make a battery that takes charge in seconds. Not only that, this battery also has a long durability, can be used up to one week.

Supercapacitor produced in this study did have a small size. Even so, this supercapacitor has the ability to store energy in large numbers. No larger than a fingernail. In addition, this supercapacitor also has a size that is thin and flexible.

The researchers also say, petite design makes this a supercapacitor battery can be used for different types of devices are small. Ranging from wearable devices or smartphone and tablet. Moreover, these batteries have a durability of up to 30 thousand times charging. Professor Niti Choudhary, one of the researchers who participated say, a single charge can last up to one week.

Supercapacitor battery life is much higher than lithium ion batteries. Typically, the lithium ion battery is only able to hold between 300 and 500 times charging. Even if they are used, the energy in the battery capacity will decline, only able to accommodate 70 per cent of energy.

Unfortunately, this supercapacitor battery technology still can not be found in electronic devices sold in the market. Even so, the potential for the presence of this new technology will be able to happen in the next few years. One cool, do not need to charge the battery for a week.
