Motorola and its parent company, Lenovo reportedly will not launch the successor to the Moto 360 smartwatch They see the product in this segment is less promising.
Reporting from Engadget, the company mentioned is no longer working on a new smartwatch for the launch of Android Wear 2 into next year.
Head of Global Product Development Moto, Shakil Barkat said the company sees the market is not attractive enough to develop new smartwatch at this time.
"Wearables product does not have broad enough appeal to [Moto] continue to build products year after year," he said.
SmartWatch and other wearable devices have not been able to attract consumers who attract companies to back new product refreshes.
