The development of eSports industry was also attract the attention of educational institutions such as the one at the University of Malaysia.
 
Asia Pacific University (APU) in cooperation with eSports Malaysia (ESM) to form the first eSports Academy in Malaysia.
 
Cooperation establishment of the ESM eSports curriculum at the University is the first and hope will increase in the near future.
 
The purpose of the opening of the Academy eSports is to build and develop the competencies of gamers who want to plunge further into the eSports industry professionals.
 
APU eSports Academy was introduced on February 23, 2017 and will begin his studies in April 2017.

Enrollment of students in eSports Academy is open to all walks of life, even already there are several professional gamers who have registered for.
 
For the first phase, there will be four focus games that were the primary curriculum at the APU eSports Academy, the Dota 2, League of Legends, Counter-Strike and FIFA Online.
 
Still likely to focus future games that were given the curriculum will increase the potential of other games such as Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm and others are also growing.
 
The early phases of the curriculum will focus on the development of professional gamers become the focus of every game.
