Microsoft Officially Released Windows 10 S

Windows 10 S
Microsoft Along with the launch of Laptop Surface, Microsoft also introduced Windows 10 S. Another version of Windows 10 is an operating system designed more simple and intended for educational needs.

One of the fundamental differences of Windows 10 S from other versions is the limitations of applications that can be installed. This operating system can only run applications downloaded from the Windows Store.

For that reason, applications from third-party providers can not be installed or run on this operating system. Windows S 10 can only use Microsoft Edge browser.

The boot duration of this operating system is also claimed to be faster than other versions. Windows 10 S only takes about 15 seconds to get into the system, while Windows 10 Pro takes up to 30 seconds.

Quoted from The Guardian, this operating system is only available for new computers and is not available as a separate downloadable version.

Microsoft announced the operating system will be available on a number of products from partner PC manufacturers, such as Acer, Asus, Dell, Fujistus, HP, Samsung, and Toshiba. The device will be priced starting at US $ 189.

For information, this is not the first time Microsoft launched a specially designed operating system. Previously, the company had launched Windows RT based on Windows 8.

Just like Windows 10 S, the operating system released in 2012 only downloads apps from Windows Store. Unfortunately, the development of the operating system is now no longer resumed.
