Facebook boss to buy Tottenham Hotspur Football Club?

After rumored ambition to become president of the United States, founder and CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg rumored interested in buying Tottenham Hotspur football club with considerable value.

Citing The Sun's website, Zuckerberg is said to be considering buying the club for US $ 1 billion through a US company, Iconic Capital.

For your information, Iconic Capital is a financial company that handles Zuckerberg's funds and a number of other Silicon Valley billionaires.


Zuck himself has a fortune worth US $ 49 billion after the success of Facebook, which he founded in 2004.

Based on a report, Iconic Capital has indeed been considering buying Tottenham Hotspur since 2014 along with the Blackstone equity firm.

Mark Zuckerberg news interested in buying Tottenham Hotspur directly denied by the football club. Tottenham Hotspur is looking for investors to help pay for their new stadium after a move from White Hart Lane at the end of last season.


However, now Tottenham Hotspur no longer seek an injection of funds after several banks to finance the land. Tottenham Hotspur even denied it had a discussion with the social media giant.

"The club is tied with Rothschild to raise funds for the new stadium," said Tottenham Hotspur statement as quoted by Mirror.

"Management is not currently in discussions related to the takeover of the club," wrote the company statement.
