Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams will work together to make a film adaptation of Kimi no Na wa or Your Name, which is one of the most popular anime films in Japan. Your Name, categorized as a science fiction story mixed with romantic elements, tells of a teenage boy and a discovery from a different region in Japan. Both find that they can exchange bodies.

They also discover, they are not only separated by space, but also time. When a disaster threatens to destroy one of their cities, they must find a way to meet and stop the disaster.

Makoto Shinkai wrote and directed the movie Your Name, which became the fourth largest-income film in Japan and the biggest-ever global anime movie.

The film managed to get US $ 355 million. Your Name was also nominated for the best animated film at the 40th Japan Academy Prize.

"Your Name is a film made using the Japanese team's imagination and created using a local medium," Shinkai said in an official statement.

"When it's combined with Hollywood-style making, we may find an unthinkable opportunity I can not wait to see the live action film from Your Name."
