Despacito Video Breaks YouTube Records

Daddy Yankee And Luis Fonsi
Since it was first released in January 2017, Despacito songs by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee became popular all over the world. Not quite up there, Despacito music video was now crowned as the most watched music video on YouTube.

Until this story was written, Despacito has been viewed up to 3.74 billion times on YouTube. This number beat the number of music videos See You Again sung by Wiz Khalifa who previously also been crowned as the most watched video in July with a total of 3 billion clicks.

See You Again has just surpassed Psy's Gangnam Style record. Style Gangnam, since it was first uploaded in 2012, has been in this position for a long time and last has a total of 2.9 billion YouTube viewing times.

Not only is the video with the most number of spectacles, the Forbes website even calls Despacito which means slowly this, into a video with the number of spectacles that increase very quickly. It took only seven months for Despacito to reach three billion.

"Breaking records for the most watched videos of all time is a massive achievement," said Lyor Cohen, YouTube's Global Head of Music. "The greatest congratulations to Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee for reaching this milestone," he added, as quoted by Forbes.

This time the two songs Despacito got the award. In early July 2017, Despacito became the most-streamed song of all time, not behind on YouTube.
