Sony officially announced a number of new devices on the line of Xperia R smartphone, the Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus. This line of smartphones is focused on producing the best value mobile phones to offer in a growing market. Sony Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus will be marketed in India, along with a number of other middle-class devices that will be offered at an affordable price. Xperia R1 is a more affordable version of the two devices.

Xperia R1 is equipped with a 5.2-inch 720p resolution screen, and is supported by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 processor chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space. Consumers can also add storage capacity via a microSD card.

In addition, the Xperia R1 is also equipped with a capacity of 2620 mAh battery, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, USB type-C port and support dual SIM slot. Meanwhile, Xperia R1 Plus comes with a design almost like his brother.

The difference that carried Xperia R1 Plus lies in the provision of 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space.

However, both devices will use the Nougat Android operating system with a special touch, with plans to receive upgrades to the Oreo Android operating system.

Sony will market the Xperia R1 at a price of INR13,990 or approximately US $ 215 while the Xperia R1 PLus is worth INR15,990 or about US $ 245. This device will be available in two color options, namely black and silver.
