Xiaomi officially announced that it has started the process of developing MIUI 10, the latest version of its Android-based special interface. This information was announced at MIUI's annual meeting in China on 23 January.

At the event, co-founder, VP Xiaomi and MIUI division head Hong Feng said his company will be focused on delivering feature-based artificial intelligence technology (AI) and machine learning on the latest version.

In comparison, MIUI 9 currently used Xiaomi device comes with better stability, graduation, and battery backup.

In an earlier interview, Feng also mentioned that Xiaomi will be focused on expanding the company's global coverage in the coming months. Xiaomi predicts that MIUI has 280 million active users.

From the number of active users of MIUI, 20 percent or 56 million users are consumers from outside of China. Meanwhile, the 2018 MWC is reportedly going to be an event that Xiaomi used to announce its new flagship smartphone, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845, the Xiaomi Mi 7.
