Apple Has Not Confirmed The Location Of Fingerprint Sensor On The iPhone 8
Apple reportedly has not determined the location of the fingerprint sensor, which is planned to be behind the OLED iPhone 8. The company has three options about the location of the biometric authentication feature.

Reported by GSM Arena, the first option is diluting the screen glass layer around the sensor area. Another option creates a small hole on the glass to place the ultrasonic sensor, and uses a "film" sensor that is integrated into the panel using capacitive or infrared technology.

Apple's attitude that still has not determined the location of the fingerprint sensor, is expected to make iPhone 8 shipment delayed one to two months.

The smartphone is likely to hit the market in October or November 2017, after it was announced alongside iPhone 7s and 7s Plus in September 2017.

Unlike the iPhone 8, the two iPhones still have the same Touch ID screen and sensors as their predecessors. The presence of wireless charging to be one feature that distinguishes both with the old iPhone.

Among Apple's latest three smartphones this year, the iPhone 8 became the "most premium" version. Not only because the location of the fingerprint sensor is different from its predecessor, but also the use of OLED screen.

This smartphone is reported to have a 5.8 inch OLED screen with almost no bezel, dual rear camera and a special sensor for 3D face recognition on the front of the device.
