SanDisk has unveiled the newly launched high-capacity microSD card, the SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I 400GB, on Thursday morning August 31, 2017 at the IFA 2017 Berlin conference.

This card offers 144GB more storage than any other microSD card on the market. The new card also supports 100MB read speeds, A1 app performance, and UHS Speed ââClass 1 for the best available performance.

"We continue to push the boundaries of technology and change the way consumers use their mobile devices," said Sven Rathjen, vice president of product marketing at SanDisk's parent company Western Digital.

"By focusing on achieving new technological milestones, we enable consumers to follow their mobile-centric lifestyle with storage solutions that they believe," he added.

As you can imagine, this new 400GB microSD card is not cheap. SanDisk's 256GB card has a full retail price of US $ 199.99, and usually sells for US $ 130 at retailers like Amazon. The new UlD microSDXC UHS-I 400GB SanDisk card has a full retail price of US $ 249.99, US $ 50 higher than the 256GB model, and goes on sale this Thursday.
